i recently decided that it would be cool if i were able to scan my paintings so they can be printed.
and so i figured it out.
i do the same steps as normal,
but instead of watering down my watercolors like you're supposed to do,
i pretty much use straight pigment from the bottle.
it makes for a much brighter image,
which can be scanned.

so this year for christmas,
our card was hand painted,
by me :)

kline design is now creating custom family portrait greeting cards.

I will create for you a one of a kind 9 x 12 (or any smaller frame size) watercolor portrait, just upload a few photos of the people or pets that you would like included on etsy (you can also text or email me pictures), and let me know any details that you may think are important.

Please include specific colors you would like to have, or not have, styles of clothing and hair, etc., and I will have your portrait ready to ship to you in 2-4 days.

step by step:

1. send me a family photo and I'll get to work creating a pen and ink version.

2. I'll scan the original and format it on indesign so you can easily print out your own cards, and email either a jpeg or a pdf version. If you'd rather not deal with printing, there is an option for me to print cards for you for an additional cost. I print the cards on white card stock.

3. Then I'll send you the original watercolor.

here's how to leave a shining review on etsy:

step 1. sign in to etsy

step 2. click on You in the top right corner.

step 3. click on Purchases and reviews in the drop down menu.

step 4. add your review.

you can even add a picture of you with your product if you'd like.

how to order.

hi folks!

i've had a few questions lately on how to order from etsy.
here is an easy to follow, 10 step guide to help you along.


step 1. type etsy.com into your url

step 2. either sign in with your account (if you have an etsy account skip to step 5),

or register for a new account.

step 3. after clicking the register button, 

if you don't want to have to remember a password then choose to continue with facebook or google, 

if you don't have either of those, then fill out the boxes with your information and click register.

step 4. welcome to the wonderful world of etsy.

step 5. search kline design utah in the search bar.

step 6. browse the shop. 

step 7. once you find something you like, click into it (you can do this by clicking on the picture or name). then click the green 'add to cart' button.

step 8. go to your cart. 

your cart is located in the top right corner of your screen.

step 9. after clicking into your cart, proceed with checkout by selecting your payment option and pressing the green 'proceed to checkout' button.

step 10. after checking to make sure you're getting everything you want, press the green 'submit order' button.
